The setting of a horror film would usually be: -

·       Old dark houses over looking the scenery

·       Suburbia

·       Transylvania

·       Cellars

·       Castles

Narratives in a horror film are quite important because they make the scene. In horror films they use such narratives as: -

·       Haunted house: scary ghosts that need exorcising from the house

·       Possession: an evil spirit that needs exorcising from a body

·       Rape-revenge: a victims rape leads to revenge

·       Creation of monster: a mad scientist tries to create a life form.
